Fall Wedding at Hidden Creek Estates | Anna + Sean
Love is one of the most powerful emotions we can feel in life, and through Anna and Sean’s wedding it’s very apparent just how strong their love for one another is. These two created an emotional and personal wedding day that I simply cannot get enough of. Their wedding took place at the fantastic Hidden Creek Estates in Roscoe, Illinois, which actually happens to be my most photographed venue of 2023. Hidden Creek Estates would turn out to be the perfect venue for Anna and Sean’s emotional day, and I can’t wait to share the highlights here with you all.
A Perfect Fall Day at Hidden Creek Estates
Something I adore about Hidden Creek Estates as a wedding venue is immediately apparent when looking at Anna and Sean’s wedding day. On site getting ready spaces. The venue is completely secluded out in the natural beauty of the Wisconsin / Illinois border, so being able to get ready on location is a massive benefit for the couple. It kept the wedding day simple and stress free, which let Anna and Sean take their time and enjoy themselves in the company of their loved ones.
When Anna and Sean initially inquired with me they let me know that Hidden Creek Estates had actually referred them to me, and that their interests mostly revolved around being outdoors together. I’m honored to have such a wonderful connection with Hidden Creek Estates, and this love for the outdoors is what made this venue THE perfect location for Anna and Sean’s wedding. Their first look took full advantage of the beautiful natural setting, and brought out Anna and Sean’s emotions in a big way. I absolutely adore how these two aren’t afraid to cry in front of the camera. Documenting a wedding is more than just the moments you experience, but also the emotion you feel in those moments.
Hidden Creek Estates’ Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Space
With a first look built into their wedding day, Anna and Sean were then able to take couples portraits and wedding party photos prior to their ceremony. This gave us flexibility to get creative and unique with their portraits so that we could create something special together. Not only that, but it also made the rest of their wedding day flow smoothly and let Anna and Sean actually enjoy their time with their friends and family.
The weather could not have been better for a fall wedding. The overcast of the day gave us the ideal lighting to work with while also setting the tone for what would turn out to be an incredibly emotional ceremony. Amongst the serene pond, the old trees looming overhead, and their loved ones seated to support them, Anna and Sean had their beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at Hidden Creek Estates. There were tears of joy, deep belly laughs, and an abundance of smiles as the two became newlyweds. Now all that was left was the celebration of this next chapter in Anna and Sean’s love story.
Dancing the Night Away
The beauty of Hidden Creek Estates doesn’t end with their wedding ceremony space, in fact it is only just the beginning. After their ceremony, Anna and Sean were able to enjoy themselves during the outdoor cocktail hour on the estate’s brick patio. While this was happening the tent where their outdoor reception would take place was having its finishing touches done in preparation for the night’s festivities. This just further shows how special of a venue Hidden Creek Estates is. As their guests enjoyed their time before the reception began they were given their wedding favors which were small jars of honey. This detail felt extra special for me personally as my grandfather was actually a bee farmer. Yet another reason for me to love this wedding with all my heart.
Soon began Anna and Sean’s reception, and what a reception it was. Epic entrances, heart melting first dances, moving speeches, and an absolutely packed dance floor, Anna and Sean’s reception had it all. Of course Anna, Sean, and I had to sneak out for some late night portraits. It was a fitting end to a day fully built around the love these two had found in one another.
I honestly could go on and on about Anna and Sean’s wedding at Hidden Creek Estates. I didn’t even get to talk about the pineapple suit one of their guests wore, or the fact that Hidden Creek Estates has multiple homes on their property available for guests to rent and stay at. Alas though I want you to see and enjoy Anna and Sean’s album, so I will leave it at that.
