Wedding at Prairie Street Brewing in Rockford, Illinois | Hannah + Jack
Something I have and will always love about documenting wedding days is witnessing how each couple makes their day unique and personal to them. For Hannah and Jack it was their shared love for a good craft beer that acted as the catalyst for their wedding planning. Having their wedding take place at Prairie Street Brewing in Rockford, Illinois was just the tip of the iceberg in this perfectly crafted wedding day.
The Beginning of Their Wedding Day
To kick things off, both Hannah and Jack got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rockford, Illinois. Getting ready separate from each other, but in the company of their family and wedding party members meant the excitement levels were sky high from the very beginning of their day. Once Hannah, Jack, and their wedding parties were all dressed and ready we made our way to Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens, careful to ensure that Hannah and Jack didn’t see one another prior to their first look.
The beauty of the Nicholas Conservatory was the perfect backdrop for this lovely moment. The joy and excitement I felt from Hannah and Jack as they saw one another for the first time on their special day was honestly infectious. Something I love about first looks is that they allow you to take your wedding party portraits early, giving you more freedom for the rest of your wedding day. Hannah and Jack opted to do just that, and with the natural elegance of the conservatory at our disposal it only made sense to do so. As wonderful as our time was here, it’s safe to say we were all itching with anticipation to get to Prairie Street Brewing in Rockford, Illinois for the rest of their wedding day festivities.
Their Outdoor Ceremony at Prairie Street Brewing
As I mentioned, Hannah and Jack’s love of craft beers is part of what guided them to choose Prairie Street Brewing as their wedding venue, but the brewery has a LOT more going for it than just their award winning beers. One such aspect that really elevated Hannah and Jack’s experience is the outdoor patio that is right on the Rock River. The classic brick walls of the brewery combine with the stunning views of the river to create a one of a kind space for Hannah and Jack to say their vows. Throughout their ceremony you could feel the happiness radiating through the air, both from the soon to be newlyweds, but also from their friends and family in attendance.
A Night to Remember
After their ceremony, Hannah and Jack were able to mingle and enjoy some personal time with their guests during cocktail hour. This was possible thanks to them prioritizing getting their portraits done earlier in the day. Creating moments like this on a wedding day is so important, as no matter how long the day is it is going to feel like it flies by. Finding ways to make time and memories with those you love that are there to celebrate with you is something I always recommend my couples strive towards. The indoor reception space of Prairie Street Brewing in Rockford, Illinois acted as the perfect space for these memories to be created.
Their reception was full of memorable moments as well. From the passionate and heartfelt speeches, to the hora, which is an extremely fun Jewish wedding tradition where guests lift the bride and groom in the air by their chairs. These moments only begin to showcase the energy that was flowing and the memories that Hannah and Jack made throughout their celebration. I’d be remiss if I didn’t also mention the late night pizza delivery from Lou Malnati’s to end their night, a perfect end to an already perfect day.
I’m so glad to have documented Hannah and Jack’s wedding day at Prairie Street Brewing in Rockford, Illinois.
